Present: Mayor and all Council; no news media

Mayor Cash called the meeting to order.

Councilman Johnson gave the invocation.

Omelia Harris presented the Council with the plans for the Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade:

$395. has been shaved from the original amount due to not having the pony rides, but a petting zoo instead.
Ronnie Burns cars will carry Mayor and Council.
Grand Marshall sign to be designed.

Councilman Pye brought up the fact that a manger scene should be included. After much discussion, Councilman Johnson made the motion to allow Becki to check on the nativity scene that we had looked at last year and purchase it if the cost is the same or slightly higher. Councilman Pye second. Motion carried.

Councilman Pye made the motion to accept the proposal from Omelia; Mayor Pro tem Mahaffey second. Motion carried.

Councilman Pye made the motion to pay Omelia $10. per month to post city events on her website (Chesnee.net); Mayor Pro tem Mahaffey second. Motion carried.

Mayor Pro tem Mahaffey made the motion to adjourn; Councilman Pye second. Motion carried.
